Dentemp Recap-it Cap & Crown Repair
Product details
Dentemp Recap-it is a temporary dental cement for loose or lost caps, crowns and inlays. When a crown comes off at the weekend or on holiday, Recap-it holds it back in place so you can eat and talk comfortably until your dentist can fix it properly.
What it is for
- Re-cementing a crown, cap or inlay that has come loose or fallen out
- Protecting the exposed tooth from sensitivity in the meantime
How to use
- Clean and dry the crown and the tooth. Do not swallow the crown or the cement.
- Mix the cement as directed, apply a thin layer inside the crown, and press it firmly onto the tooth. Bite down gently to seat it.
- Remove any excess and avoid eating for about an hour. Keep to soft foods on that side.
- See your dentist as soon as possible — this is a temporary repair, not a permanent one.
Good to know
- Enough for several repairs; keeps well in the first-aid kit or travel bag
- If the crown does not sit properly, do not force it — leave it out and call the dentist
- For lost fillings, see Dentemp filling repair instead
Frequently asked questions
How long does Dentemp Recap-it last?It is designed to hold for days to a couple of weeks depending on the tooth and how you eat — long enough to get a dental appointment.
Can I use it on a broken tooth or filling? No — Recap-it is for caps and crowns. Dentemp makes a separate temporary filling material.
