Califig Syrup of Figs is the traditional, gentle laxative for occasional constipation. Made with fig extract, it is taken at bedtime and usually works overnight, so you are not caught out during the day.

How long does Syrup of Figs take to work?

For most people 8 to 12 hours. Take it in the evening and expect a comfortable, natural bowel movement the next morning. If nothing has happened after two nights, or you need it for more than a week, speak to our pharmacist.

How to use

• Take the dose stated on the pack for your age, at bedtime, with a glass of water.
• Do not exceed the stated dose and do not use for more than 7 days in a row without advice.
• Check the pack for the minimum age; not for children under 6.

Good to know

• 100ml bottle, pleasant fig taste
• Drink plenty of water and add fibre (fruit, vegetables, wholegrains) while you use it
• Constipation that lasts more than two weeks, or comes with blood, weight loss or severe pain, needs a GP
